1. Chandrabhaga Dam
The Chandrabhaga Dam is an earthfill dam build across the Chandrabhaga river near Amravati. The primary purpose of this dam was to Irrigation, Water Supply, and generate Hydroelectricity. The height of the dam is 44.7 meters, and the length is 1,573 meters.
2. Chargad Dam
The Chargad Dam is an earthfill dam build across the Chargad river near Amravati. Its official name is Chargad Dam D03542. The primary purpose of this dam was to Irrigation and Water Supply. The height of the dam is 24.5 meters, and the length is 3,740 meters.
3. Malkhed Dam
The Malkhed Dam is an earthfill dam build across the Kholad river near Chandur. Its official name is Malkhed Dam D03198. The primary purpose of this dam was to Irrigation and Water Supply. The height of the dam is 17.05 meters, and the length is 1,422 meters.
4. Purna Dam
The Purna Dam is an earthfill dam build across the Purna river near Amravati. Its official name is Purna Dam D03125. The primary purpose of this dam was to Irrigation, Water Supply, and generate Hydroelectricity. The height of the dam is 38 meters, and the length is 3,120 meters.
5. Shahanoor Dam
The Shahanoor Dam is an earth-fill dam build across the Shahanoor river near Anjangaon Surji. Its official name is Koyna Dam D05104. The primary purpose of this dam was to Irrigation, Water Supply. The height of the dam is 57.81 meters, and the length is 828 meters.
6. Upper Wardha Dam
The Upper Wardha Dam is an earthfill and gravity dam build across the Wardha river near Morshi taluka. Its official name is Upper Wardha Dam D02982. It’s also named Nala Damayanti Sagar. The primary purpose of this dam was to Irrigation, Drinking Water Supply, generate Hydroelectricity, and flood control. The height of the dam is 46.2 meters, and the length is 5,920 meters.
